Welcome to the Alberta Tree Hound Association’s website.

The ATHA is a family oriented club that welcomes anyone who is interested in hunting with hounds. The club was founded in 1988 and has maintained an active role in promoting the sport and assisting authorities, with wildlife management and predator control.

The association’s mission is to promote and preserve hound-hunting opportunities in Alberta through education, conservation and cooperation. It keeps its members informed of changes that occur each year to our province’s hunting regulations and takes member’s suggestions regarding wildlife management, back to ESRD officials. The club also hosts a yearly Field Trial where dogs compete in a variety of events, which test their skill and speed.
